2. Scientific researches of Department

2.1. Research orientation

- Protection and efficient exploitation of land resources, especially in problem soils.

- Study on the quantity and quality of the main soil types' fertility.

- Study on the soil, fertilizers and microbial organism adaptation to climate change.

- Research on plant nutrition, the new fertilizer to improve fertilizer use efficiency in economics, environmental protection and food safety.

- Research on irrigation systems to reclaim problem soils.

- Research on high-tech agriculture.

- Research in building safety production process and organic farming application.

- Research on the production of organic media growing for sowing and planting seedlings;

- Set up the production process of fertilizers, products for agricultural production.

2.3. Services and scientific advice

Currently, the department has a laboratory with many experiences in analysis capacity on soils, fertilizers and plants to serve for teaching, research and study of the department.

The laboratory is equipped with facilities and modern machineries, capable of performing the following tasks:

- Research and analysis of parameter on physical and chemical soil characteristics, waters, fertilizers and plants.

- Train:

+ Serve for teaching subjects such as Soil science; soil chemistry; soil physics; soil, fertilizer and water analysis; fertilizer and fertilizer application; analytical tools; soil classification and mapping; geology; soil degradation and recovery,…

+ Guide for graduated objects on Crop Science, Soil Science, land management and other sectors related to students, graduate students and researchers.

- In addition to serve the research and training, laboratory was also conducted services for organizations and individuals outside the University to have demands on analysis on soil, fertilizer, water and plant. The indicators which can be analyzed at laboratory are shown in the table below:
